摘要: We assessed the feasibility and psychometric properties of two commonly used health status questionnaires in Parkinson's disease (PD): generic Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) disease-specific 39-item Questionnaire (PDQ-39), from a cross-sectional postal survey PD patients (N = 81), using traditional Rasch measurement methodologies. Overall response rate was 88%. Both were found feasible, although NHP performed less well. The PDQ-39 had fewer floor effects better able to separate respondents into distinct groups than NHP, whereas latter exhibited ambiguous dimensionality targeting with non-extreme scores. Reliability validity indices similar, potential differential item functioning by age gender for both questionnaires. alternatives indicated ambiguity. With few exceptions, questionnaire scales unable meet recommended standards fully. While preliminary, this study illustrates need thorough evaluation outcome measures has implications beyond here. Although promising, warrant further developmental work stronger support before they could be considered fully suitable valid use PD, particular earlier stages disease.
