摘要: The organotropism is the propensity of metastatic cancer cells to colonize preferably certain distant organs, resulting in a non-random distribution metastases. In order shed light on this behaviour, several studies were performed by injection human cell lines into immunocompromised mouse models. However, information about these experiments spread literature. For each xenograft experiment reported literature, we annotated both experimental conditions and outcomes, including details inoculated lines, models, methods, sites metastasis, organs not colonized, rate latency time, overall survival involved genes. We created MetaTropismDB, freely available database collecting hand-curated data useful highlight mechanisms organ-specific metastasis. Currently, it stores results 513 which injections 219 have been carried out Notably, 296 genes organotropic metastases collected. This specialized allows researchers compare current plan future identify tumour molecular signatures establish if where metastasis will develop.
