摘要: Oxidative stress has been shown to be a triggering event in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, little evidence exists on role oxidative imbalance Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), group with high risk progression AD. We therefore assessed peripheral blood levels broad spectrum non-enzymatic and enzymatic antioxidant defenses, as well lipid protein oxidation markers nitrogen species 85 MCI patients, 42 mild AD patients 37 age-matched controls. In plasma vitamin E were significantly decreased, while concentration oxidized glutathione was increased both patients. An increase plasmatic erythrocytes also observed compared groups, antioxidants found females, whereas apolipoprotein epsilon4 allele carriers showed higher indices intracellular markers. Moreover, cognitive function positively correlates levels. This study shows that most changes are already present group, might accompanied by depletion.
