摘要: Using a sample of 692 freshmen at southeastern university, this study examined caloric restriction among students prior to planned alcohol consumption. Participants were surveyed for self-reported consumption, binge drinking, and intake habits drinking episodes. Results indicated that 99 695 (14%) first year reported restricting calories with 6% reporting behavior avoid weight gain 10% enhance alcohols effects; no significant differences found between males females. Based on the findings, practical campus-based student-centered education prevention strategies are presented explore solutions reduce drunkorexia. Effective evidence-based change brief interventions such as Motivational Interviewing Brief Alcohol Screening Intervention College Students (BASICS) program discussed.
