摘要: Construction cost overrun is a major problem faced by the construction industry globally and it needs serious attention to alleviate. Cost result of one or combination several causes which are very important identify for effective performance. Current methodologies focusing on identification causes does not give insight underlying relationships between causes. Hence, this study focused studying the fundamental relationship factors using Partial Least Square-SEM method. This an advanced multivariate analysis technique estimating analyzing causal in path models. Data collection was carried out with structured questionnaire survey amongst contractors involving large construction projects Malaysia. Hierarchal model assessing causative developed analyzed using Smart PLS software SEM found that contractor's site management related had strong effect overrun. The calculated Global Fit (GoF) Index 0.405, indicates the developed substantial explaining power represent Malaysia large construction projects. improvement critical requirement control construction overrun.
