摘要: Bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) exhibit a unique temperature-dependent mechanical behavior, which enables the processing of polymers at temperatures higher than critical BMG-specific glass transition temperature [1]. In this work, we report on thermoplastic behavior two Ni-free Ti-based bulk by utilizing dramatic softening amorphous structure in supercooled liquid region. Ti40Zr10Cu34Pd14M2 (M = Ga, Sn) glassy alloys were produced copper mold casting. Ga and Sn micro-alloying (2 at.%) improve glass-forming ability properties Ti40Zr10Cu36Pd14 alloy effectively [2, 3]. The cast rods thermo-mechanically characterized to determine most suitable temperature, time, load that has be applied for net-shaping BMGs into anisotropically etched cavities silicon chips. Periodic features with high surface smoothness uniform height created BMGs. patterning controllable roughness can useful biomedical studies mediating material - cell interactions.
