摘要: Morphogenesis in plants is directly linked to the mechanical elements of growing tissues, namely cell wall and inner pressure. Studies these structural are now often performed using indentation methods such as atomic force microscopy. In methods, a probe applies tissue surface at subcellular scale its displacement monitored, yielding force-displacement curves that reflect mechanics. However, interpretation challenging they may depend not only on probed, but also neighboring cells, or even whole tissue. Here, we build realistic three-dimensional model flower bud SOFA (Simulation Open Framework Architecture), order provide framework for analysis obtained experimentally. We find shape mostly depends ratio between pressure modulus. Hysteresis can be accounted by viscoelastic behavior wall. consider differences elastic modulus layers show that, according location size probe, sensitive with different weights components two most external layers. Our results confirm interpretations previous experiments guide future experimental work.
