摘要: Even if in the last years several researches have studied Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process, it should be observed that most of these studies are concerned with butt joint and just a few them extend to more complex geometries. It is worthy notice acquired knowledge on FSW process joints not immediately extendable lap T-joints. The first observation surface welded vertical, while T-joints horizontal placed at bottom top blank welded; this way major vertical component material flow required obtain sound joints. In lap-joints four different geometrical configurations possible—actually reducible two—on basis combination mutual position sheets tool rotation direction, strongly affecting mechanics effectiveness final part. Furthermore, T-parts proper clamping fixture needed order fix stringer during process; such characterized by two radii, one for each side joints, corresponding radii between skin part (corner fillets). Actually must filled flowing material. Consequently, an actual forging operation force sheet fulfilling fixture, resulting T-joint. other words, induced effective enough get both bonding blanks fulfillment radii. On above observations, once selected, set operating parameters optimize will not, all probability, work or particular, geometries together feed rate rotating speed redetermined conditions since plastomechanics processes completely different. specific peculiarities properly investigated correlations characteristics materials welding highlighted.
