摘要: The study of the Abra ovata community existing on flooded area Sulakskii Bay in Caspian Sea since mid-1980s was continued. It found that pioneer species A. and Cerastoderma glaucum still dominate structure define course succession despite a reduction their population density frequency occurrence. composition modern processes occurring it are similar to climax stage Middle Sea. Both mollusk exhibit seasonal variations number, which due predation by sturgeon natural mortality. A steady annual decrease sea level, retreat water's edge 80–100 m, mass burial shells bivalve mollusks drying-out innermost part bay were observed.
