摘要: Background: Staphylococcus epidermidis causes prosthetic valve endocarditis, urinary tract infection, and implant-related infections. These are difficult to treat often due drug resistance, particularly because S. biofilms inherently resistant most antibiotics. Salvia miltiorrhiza is a kind of sichuan-specific medicinal herb, has effective ingredients, such as cryptotanshinone. Cryptotanshinone was demonstrated have anti-microbial properties no resistance. Objectives: The current study investigated the effects cryptotanshinone on biofilm formation, found new agents controlling formation resistance caused by biofilm. Methods: were further analyzed crystal violet assay (CV), 2, 3-bis [2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide inner salt (XTT), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). qRT-PCR used determine expressions key genes, including icaA, atlE, aap luxS. Results: amount treated reduced compared with non-treating group, so did metabolic activity inside Even micro-structure destroyed aap, luxS, down-regulated Conclusions: There insight that could inhibit immature down-regulations luxS might explain this inhibitory effect.
