摘要: [1] We report the first model result for ion production rates and densities of positive ions, negative electrons in dayside Martian ionosphere from 0 to 220 km. These calculations are made at solar zenith angle 77° low activity periods. The calculated electron density is compared with radio occultation measurements by Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) 4/5 on Constellation Observing System Meteorology, Ionosphere Climate (COSMIC) Earth. Our calculation suggests that daytime can be divided into D, E, F layers altitude ranges ∼25–35 km, ∼100–112 ∼125–145 km concentrations 7 × 101 cm−3, 2.4 104 8.4 cm−3 owing impact galactic cosmic rays, X rays (10–90 A), EUV (90–1026 A) radiations, respectively. water cluster ions H3O+(H2O)n, NO2−(H2O)n, CO3−(H2O)n dominated D region, while NO+, CO2+, O2+ major E regions. peak heights good agreement MGS observation. value lowered 1 2 orders magnitude Earth, height layer lower factor 1.8 as observed regions created nearly same ionospheres both planets, but thickness considerably less than This implies energy deposited within smaller-altitude range upper corresponding
