摘要: The ability of Governments to identify, fund and deliver desirable health services will be increasingly challenged by ageing populations, escalating costs health-related technology increasing consumer expectations. Current are unsustainable. USA ‘healthspend’ is about 16% gross domestic product (GDP); 31% this consumed bureaucracy up 45 million citizens have little or no access care.1, 2 Almost 10% Australians employed as workers care the Australian GDP.3 latter 0.5% per annum such that it double in less than 20 years. New Zealand Treasury has made a similar forecast,4 which line with Nobel Laureate Robert Fogel’s prediction Western economies spend 20% GDP on 2020.5 context increase relatively fewer tax payers Australasia “baby-boomer generation” leaves workforce.6,7
