摘要: Virus particles resembling reoviruses or orbiviruses were found in the faeces of 40 73 patients under 6 years age with acute gastroenteritis and only two babies among 31 admitted to hospital other diagnoses. In morphology resemble more closely than reoviruses, but differ appearance from having a smooth, circular outline well marked continuous rim as seen negatively stained preparations. They appear not be serologically related reovirus types 1, 2, 3 may members new group.
