摘要: Therapeutic management of gait and balance impairment during aging neurodegeneration has long been a neglected topic. This changed considerably recent years, for several reasons: (1) an increasing recognition that deficits are among the most relevant determinants impaired quality life increased mortality affected individuals; (2) arrival new technology, which allowed insights into anatomy functional (dis)integrity circuits; (3) based in part on these improved insights, development new, more specific treatment strategies field pharmacotherapy, deep brain surgery, physiotherapy. The initial experience with emerging treatments is encouraging, although much work remains to be done. objective this narrative review discuss promising developments treatment. We also address pitfalls can potentially hinder fast efficient continuation vital progress. Important issues should considered future research include clear differentiation between as two distinctive targets compensatory mechanisms separate target therapeutic intervention.
