摘要: ILEEMS is the acronym for Integral Low-energy Electron Mossbauer Spectroscopy. In this variant of spectroscopy low-energy electrons, E < ∼15 eV, emitted by probe nuclei in absorber are counted as a function source velocity. As consequence their low energy, detected electrons’ origin lies within very thin surface layer with thickness few nanometers and consequently, useful technique to examine surfaces Fecontaining substances. first part paper authors briefly describe design homemade equipment allowing temperature investigated sample be varied between 77 K room temperature. The second contribution deals selection results obtained from spectra various Fe oxides. particular, following items covered: (1) versus bulk Morin transition small-particle near-bulk hematite, α-Fe2O3; (2) thin-film magnetite, Fe3O4; (3) ferrihydrite, 5Fe2O3 · 9H20, goethite, α-FeOOH, lepidocrocite, γ-FeOOH, all some extent relation morphology. Interesting intriguing findings concerning properties these oxides were it argued that encourage more systematic research related fields using surface-sensitive technique.
