摘要: Abstract Complexes of copper(II) and nickel(II) general composition M(L)2X2, have been synthesized [where L = 3-Bromoacetophenone thiosemicarbazone X = CH3COO−, Cl− NO 3 - ]. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic moments, IR, electronic EPR spectral studies. The ligand behaved as bidentate coordinated through sulfur C S group nitrogen atoms N group. found to moments 1.94–2.02 BM, 2.96–3.02 BM respectively which was corresponding one two unpaired electrons respectively. molar conductance in solution DMSO lies range 10–20 Ω−1 cm2 mol−1 indicating their non-electrolytic behavior. On basis EPR, infrared studies, tetragonal geometry has assigned for an octahedral complexes. values Nephelauxetic parameter β lie 0.19–0.37 indicated covalent character metal ‘σ’ bond. Synthesized its also screened against different bacterial fungal species suggested that are more active than ligands antimicrobial activities.
