摘要: This article addresses several challenges related to the evolution toward seamless interworking of wireless LAN and 3G cellular networks. The main objective is evaluate conditions restrictions under which continuity video sessions across two networks feasible. For this purpose, we formulate a number practical scenarios, where UMTS subscribers with ongoing real-time hand over WLAN, study feasibility by means simulation. We particularly quantify maximum that can be admitted subject maintaining same level QoS respecting WLAN policies. Our results indicate support for only limited subscribers, depends on applied policy, access parameters, requirements. In addition study, do address other issues are equally important session continuity, such as discrepancies vertical handover details, various control differentiation between regular data users subscribers. framework discussing these created considering UMTS/WLAN architecture.
