摘要: Studies in juvenile Pteropus poliocephalus showed an average daily egg production by Toxocara pteropodis of 25,000 per female, with faecal concentrations up to 16,000 epg, regardless whether eggs were fertile or infertile. Production commenced as early 35 and late 48 days post-partum rose plateau levels over about 10 days. For 23 one bat passed infertile which, 2 days, then replaced completely eggs. The implicit delay maturation a male nematode suggests that transmammary passage larvae suckling bats may persist for at least 3 weeks. Patency was terminated the spontaneous expulsion worms. If worms lost first, output converted from 100% within h females devoid spermatozoa, suggesting T. copulate once daily. In prolonged infections, worm fecundity fertility diminished, so stored spermatozoa producing mixtures
