摘要: Pig farming has gained momentum for most smallholder farmers in developing countries as a means of livelihood and household incomes. However, prospects the pig enterprises are constrained by health management issues which affect both its productivity profitability. Using cross-sectional survey 240 farmers, we assessed factors influencing farmers' access to veterinary services expenditure on northern Uganda. Data was analysed using binary logit censored tobit regression models. Access significantly influenced herd size (p < 0.05), Village Savings Loan Association (VSLA) membership 0.1), breed production system 0.05) number recorded farm 0.01). Education level 0.01), members previous disease incidences labour available 0.1) 0.01) expenditure. Efforts improve should focus promoting more intensive systems improved breeds that associated with better reduced cost management.
