Removal of entrained matter from gas streams

摘要: Particulate material such as a fume, fog or mist, is removed from gas stream by passing the laden with entrained solid liquid particulate through venturi scrubber, and dispersing scrubbing droplets into scrubber passage. The are provided high voltage electrostatic charge, so that attract entrain material, which preferably also an charge of opposite polarity to on droplets. Improved efficiency attained, especially when removal sub-micron colloidal particles required, in order recover and/or prevent air pollution.
