Analysis and implementation of an active clamping zero-voltage turn-on switching/zero-current turn-off switching converter

摘要: A new isolated dc/dc converter with zero-voltage turn-on switching (ZVS) of power switches and zero-current turn-off (ZCS) diodes is presented. In conventional flyback converters, the main drawbacks are high voltage stresses on devices, large transformer size serious reverse recovery current, which resulted in spikes across output diode. To solve these problems, a buck-boost type active-clamp circuit connected parallel primary winding to clamp spike switch, recycle energy stored leakage magnetising inductances realise ZVS by utilising inductance capacitance switch. The resonant secondary side allow turn off at ZCS. Thus, losses thermal reduced, diode has no problem clamped voltage. Experiments conducted laboratory prototype rated 270 W provided verify effectiveness proposed converter.
