摘要: Publisher Summary Congenital deformities of the cervical spine vary in severity, from gross failures development incompatible with life to anomalies that are discovered by chance radiography and no practical significance. They can occur singly, may be multiple within spine, or but one feature congenital affecting other systems. Many neck coexist. This makes classification difficult; however, for purposes description, they grouped on anatomical developmental grounds, proviso overlapping coexistence occur. chapter discusses fusion neural folds, hindbrain, abnormalities, causes malformations. Genetic transmission is increasingly recognized as major cause many The craniovertebral malformations varied. Those arise primary malformation occiput have common an abnormal upward shift atlas axis odontoid protruding above plane foramen magnum.
