摘要: Population ecology of small mammals was examined over a 14-month period in the tropical gallery forests cerrado central Brazil. Mark-recapture techniques provided detailed information on age structure, population dynamics, biomass, and patterns reproduction for six species oryzomyine rodents ( Oecomys bicolor, concolor, Oryzomys capito, Oligoryzomys eliurus, Rhipidomys mastacalis , Nectomys squamipes ) two marsupials Didelphis albiventris Gracilinanus agilis ). Different show distinctive increase reproductive activity, with some maintaining stable populations throughout year others having boom-and-bust pattern. Those that pronounced differences size at different times generally reach their lowest levels during region's dry season. Among smaller-bodied species, great majority mammalian biomass study area is contained rodents. If larger-bodied are included, however, comprise most biomass. Most did not appear to be long-lived. Only D. persisted grid >12 months; lasted <6 months. The Brazil support small-mammalian fauna least as rich complex any other site has been date may higher densities than heretofore examined.
