摘要: Childhood abuse is known to have a negative influence on human development. This study expected find spiritual attitude of acceptance, as measured by the Ego Grasping Orientation scale, would help mitigate effects childhood in realm Spiritual Experience Index (SEI) scores for 350 religious women were treated measure maturity. Contrary expectation, however, sexually and physically abused groups with more accepting scored lower SEI than controlling nonabused. Implications development well-being are discussed.
