摘要: A B S T R C Moderate toughness and poor biological features of ceramics may hinder their application as modern bioactive implants. The paper presents a new, cost-effective, environmentally friendly simple production method open-cell calcium phosphate (CP) ceramic foams, by employing powders’ compaction, dissolution sintering, aiming at producing highly bio-active 3D surface scaffolds. process parameters were properly adjusted to optimize the quality structure CP samples with various porosity (60–75 vol%) pore size (0.28–0.50 mm) fabricated, characterized mechanically tested. Cell viability, adhesion proliferation investigations revealed an excellent potential for in bone tissue engineering. 2014 CIRP.
