摘要: Human demineralized bone matrix derived from cortical is used by surgeons due to its ability pro- mote formation. There also a need for shaped matrices made cancellous bone, where the properties of material allow insertion into defects, therefore acting as void filler and scaffold onto which new can form. In this study, we report that sponges were prepared dissecting cutting knee cubes 1 cm 3 . These then taken through series warm water washes, some with sonication, centrifugation, two decon- tamination chemical washes. The optimally 0.5N hydrochloric acid under vacuum constant pH measurement. Demineralization was confirmed quantitative measurement calcium qualitatively compression. freeze dried before terminal sterilisation target dose 25 kGy gamma radiation whilst frozen. Samples histologically examined collagen tested osteoinductivity. Data showed well defined staining in sponges, little residual calcium. Sponges out three donors demonstrated osteoinductivity when implanted muscle an athy- mic mouse. V
