Accurate measurement of aerosol electric mobility moments

摘要: Abstract A procedure for the accurate determination of moments aerosol electric mobility distributions was developed. The main apparatus required is a carefully constructed Hewitt (differential) analyzer. method does not require vanishingly small flow rates to obtain accuracy. may be considered primary standard measurement technique, since no calibration with particles known characteristics required. One application mean and deviation particle size near-monodisperse aerosols. As an illustration, Dow LS- 1117-B polystyrene latex analyzed. diameter were found 0·80 0·018 μm, respectively. accuracy dia. estimated 2 per cent.
