Mutagens and Carcinogens: Occurrence and Role During Chemical and Biological Evolution

摘要: Several products formed during biopoiesis were mutagenic. Since most mutagens are carcinogenic, their interaction with higher organisms may have led to the origin of cancer. Many elements periodic system carcinogenic; extraterrestial or carcinogens include aromatic compounds from meteorites, nitrosamine precursors and formaldehyde (a biopoietic component) found in interstellar space. Volcanic activity, relevant biopoiesis, is also a source carcinogens. These findings indicate ubiquitous, remote existence cosmic carcinogens; first needed for mutation processes early evolution, second leading appearance malignancy.
