摘要: Human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) infection is a fatal retroviral that may first present clinically as enlargement of the lymphoid tissues Waldeyer's ring. These are major site viral replication. The presence virus in these causes unique constellation diagnostic histopathologic features, including florid follicular hyperplasia, follicle lysis, and productively HIV-1-infected multinucleated giant cells probable dendritic cell origin. Serologic evaluation confirmatory HIV infection. With recent advances antiretroviral chemotherapy, early institution which significantly prolong life disease-free interval, recognition clinical pathologic parameters HIV-related ring essential.
