摘要: Disease Activity Score (DAS) composite models are moderately precise and robust measures of disease severity when they used in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) cohorts. They less so for individual patients. This is because subjective components, patient global assessment well-being tender joint count, modified by factors other than RA biological activity, often obfuscate interpretation activity. Comorbidities, especially distress, can disproportionately inflate these components. Fibromyalgia, essentially synonymous with pain augmentation, depression, a common comorbidity. Its presence be determined the Polysymptomatic Distress Scale (PSD). The differential effects distress fibromyalgia syndrome on DAS demonstrated manipulating information already there: arithmetic differences or ratios count swollen comparison activity score 28 joints to joints-patient (DAS28-derived indices that measure contribution relatively objective respectively). potentially more multibiomarker might also test These tools may elucidate disproportionate values model which then should facilitate identification underlying process factors, including potential treatment.
