摘要: The common envelope binary interaction occurs when a star transfers mass onto companion that cannot fully accrete it. can lead to merger of the two objects or close binary. is gateway all evolved compact binaries, stellar mergers and likely many transients witnessed date. Common simulations are needed understand this interpret stars binaries thought be byproduct stage. At time, unable reproduce few observational data available several ideas have been put forward address their shortcomings. need for more definitive simulation validation pressing, already being fulfilled by observations from time-domain surveys. In article, we present an initial method its implementation post-processing grid-based produce light-curve so as compare with upcoming observations. Here implemented zeroth order calculate light emitted hydrodynamic carried out 3D code Enzo used in uni-grid mode. implements approach computation luminosity both optically thick thin regimes tested using first 135 days Passy et al. (2012), where 0.8 solar masses red giant branch interacts 0.6 companion. This highlight large obstacles overcome before realistic curves calculated. We explain nature these problems attempted solutions approximations full detail enable next step identified implemented. also discuss our relation recent interactions.
