摘要: Twenty-four years of succession on a man-made beach–dune system the Baltic coast Denmark, built in 1977–1978 calcareous marine sand, with dune planted Ammophila arenaria, was studied seven permanent plots. The aim study to investigate relationship between plant diversity and development processes system, examine whether are similar those natural systems. During period, which started 1979, stabilized quite quickly, while beach expanded seaward because accretion sand. On beach, three rows coast-parallel foredunes developed succession. species composition plots gradually changed, total number increased from one (planted) 26. plot-year relevees were structured into six groups by TWINSPAN. stabilization dune, as well gradual movement active formation, reflected spatial temporal distribution TWINSPAN groups. Furthermore, sequence largely matched previously described younger parts coastal dunes elsewhere along NW European coasts. change could be related increasing habitat differentiation, successive immigration species, declining relative influence sea, stabilization.
