摘要: AIMS To analyse the present status and future development of computerized diagnostic pathology in terms work-flow integrative telepathology virtual laboratory. PRESENT STATUS Telepathology has left its childhood. The technical is mature, contrast to that pathology. Two kinds laboratories are emerging: a) those with distributed pathologists (>=1) associated individual biopsy stations/surgical theatres, b) working a centralized Both under development. can be used for e-learning e-training pathology, as exemplarily demonstrated on Digital Lung Pathology (www.pathology-online.org). FEATURES OF VIRTUAL PATHOLOGY A institution (mode accepts complete case patient's history, clinical findings, (pre-selected) images first diagnosis. responsibility conventional institution. internet serves platform information transfer, an open server such iPATH (http://telepath.patho.unibas.ch) coordination performance procedure. size limited, usual different magnifications have used. group "on duty", or selects one member predefined duty period. statement pathologist(s) retransmitted sender full responsibility. First experiences (Dr. L. Banach, Dr. G. Haroske, I. Hurwitz, K. Kayser, K.D. Kunze, M. Oberholzer,) small hospital Salomon islands promising. depends upon digitalisation slide, transfer large sized slide still does not completely fulfil requirements at present. AND E-LEARNING: At present, systems "stand-alone" solutions CD via internet. characteristic example (www.pathology-online.org), which includes about 60 rare common lung diseases access scientific library (PubMed), distant measurement servers (EuroQuant), electronic journals (Elec J Pathol Histol). new data base based this will combine e-teaching actual workflow a). technological problems solved do depend constraints scanning systems. PERSPECTIVES promotor landscape so-called Industrial efforts probably allow implementation technique within next two years.
