Leveraging business process models for ETL design

摘要: As Business Intelligence evolves from off-line strategic decision making to on-line operational making, the design of back-end Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes is becoming even more complex. Many challenges arise in this new context like their optimization and modeling. In paper, we focus on disconnection between IT-level view enterprise presented by ETL business required managers analysts. We propose use process models for a conceptual ETL. show how link existing translate logical that can be optimized. Thus, back underlying so enable not only ETL, but also near real-time entire enterprise.
