摘要: The paper investigates new designs of loaded wire antennas with broad-band characteristics. A two-step design procedure is proposed for the design. First, different unloaded configurations are examined a view to identifying candidates that exhibit lowest voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and highest gain Multi-armed straight segments branch off symmetrically from central stem found be excellent potential candidates. Next, antenna best performance resonant tank circuits matching network designed. loads can enhance characteristics yield high low VSWR by modifying current distribution force it radiate nearer horizon in elevation plane an almost omnidirectional pattern azimuth plane. An efficient optimization based on genetic algorithm employed simultaneously determine load components, their locations, parameters network. Several examples four- eight-arm bandwidth 7.5:1 15:1 illustrate effectiveness procedure.
