Using purified flavodoxin chemical libraries, leads can identified that block function act as bactericidal molecules, it has demonstrated for Helicobacter pylori (Hp), the most prevalent human gastric pathogen. Increasing antimicrobial resistance by this bacterium led current therapies lose effectiveness, so alternative treatments urgently required.
