摘要: The nematode Caenorhabditis elegans is an important model organism for biomedical research. We previously described NeuCode stable isotope labeling by amino acids in cell culture (SILAC), a method accurate proteome quantification with potential multiplexing beyond the limits of traditional culture. Here we apply SILAC to profile proteomic and phosphoproteomic response C. two potent members ascaroside family pheromones. By consuming labeled E. coli as part their diet, nematodes quickly easily incorporate heavy lysine isotopologues young adult stage.
