摘要: Abstract Cabbage leaf and stem tissue decomposed in soil with the formation of volatile sulfur-containing compounds methanethiol, dimethyl sulfide disulfide. Tissue other crucifers including kale, mustard, Brussels sprouts turnip to yield similar products. In contrast, none above materials were evolved from decomposing corn soil. The volatiles resulting decomposition cruciferous amendments detected by both gas chromatographic chemical analyses after 1 week decomposition. Their evolution was virtually complete fourth addition, we methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetaldehyde unknown aldehydes or ketones cabbage corn. Volatile isothiocyanates, H2S, CS2 not as a result these amendments.
