摘要: With rising energy demand and an increase in global population, facilitating a sustainable transition cities is of interest to many. The focus this chapter illustrate analyse the role that transport can play enabling change. In order do so, compromised following four parts: (1) illustrative description challenge, which includes describing impacts has on society environment, (2) drivers thinking behind transport’s high-carbon use, (3) alternative framing debate will be introduced alongside ‘next’ practices for future, (4) points made previous three parts further illustrated through use relevant international case studies. Case studies include Bogota, Colombia, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Montreal, Canada, from supply-side demand-side perspective. A discussion with implications future provided conclusion.
