摘要: Since time immemorial, plants have been the basis of many traditional medicines and continue to provide new remedies mankind. Indian Himalaya is a biogeographically unique region, having critically endangered threatened endemic plant diversity, known for more than 8000 species which 1748 are medicinal properties. These including herbs aromatic played an important role in lives tribal peoples living Himalayas by providing them essential day-to-day products such as food medicines. Herbs can act stimuli digestive system, relieve disorders, some antiseptic properties several other remedial herbals rare contain high nutritional incredible demands from pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, herbal-based industries. Global consumption plant-based nutraceuticals has received substantial attention because their physiological benefits therapeutic effects. Therefore, recent years, demand nutraceutical progressively increased. This chapter focuses on indigenous knowledge Himalayan that might potential be used nutraceuticals.
