摘要: Multinucleated giant cells (MGCs) are a prominent histological feature of various mesenchymal neoplasms and often considered criterion malignancy. Mesenchymal with MGCs for which the cell lineage is unclear generally referred to as sarcomas. Here we characterize gross, histologic, immunohistochemical features 90 sarcomas in domestic pet rabbits. Based on anatomic location histologic findings, 18 cases were classified histiocytic (HS) 72 anaplastic (AS). At postmortem examination, HS was either localized (n = 7) always affecting lungs, or disseminated 10) that affected lungs 10), liver 6), kidneys 4), pleura 2), mediastinum heart skeletal muscle 1), adipose tissue lymph node 1). Additionally, one cecal biopsy consistent HS. Microscopically, characterized by sheets neoplastic polygonal round contained single several, greatly enlarged nuclei well abundant cytoplasm. positive CD204 negative SMA desmin. In contrast, AS arose most commonly from skin subcutis 62) rarely 8) abdominal organs 2). 29% extra-abdominal AS, tumor deeply invaded into surrounding connective tissue, muscle, tendons, bone causing pathological fractures. Five 9 metastasized including lungs. spindle pleomorphic admixed variable numbers MGCs. Immunohistochemically, (71%) and/or
