摘要: This is the first report on antifungal activity of a new strain Streptomyces plicatus (strain101) against four Iranian phytopathogenic isolates Verticillium dahliae. In recent decades, biological control plant diseases has received more attention mainly as response to public concern about use hazardous chemicals in environment. Soil Actinomycetes particularly spp. enhance soil fertility and have antagonistic wide range soil-borne pathogens. search for metabolites having cosmopolitan pathogen, dahliae Klebahn, 110 were screened. Among all, strain101 that was identified S. plicatus, showed high level Agar disk Well-diffusion methods. propagated submerged cultures active crude prepared upon which some characterizations performed. The metabolite (s) polar, soluble H2O methanol but insoluble chloroform, dichloromethane or hexane. Antifungal composed two types, mycelial inhibition, inhibition microsclerotia melanin production. gene from Strain 101 may be useful candidate genetic engineering agriculturally important crop plants increased tolerance V.
