摘要: Abstract In our follow-up study of 65 patients after curative surgery for colorectal cancer, tests other than history and physical examination detected only two cases potentially curable recurrent cancer. As a routine test, carcinoembryonic antigen determination is preferable to computerized tomographic scanning, since the sensitivity specificity scanning were found be equivalent much less expensive. There was no benefit use liver function or chest roentgenograms during follow-up. Since barium enema contributed little what colonoscopy accomplished with greater comfort patient, enemas should used when not totally successful in reaching cecum. The most beneficial aspect these probably elimination future metachronous lesions by removal small, benign polyps.
