摘要: Studies of the radiation chemistry DNA dimers, tetramers and hexamers have turned out to be far more rewarding than ever anticipated. Radiation-damaged dimers are proving useful as carriers in radioactive postlabeling assays damage. Tetramers, on other hand, preferred for modeling DNA. All four bases can represented, yet still small enough so that mixture products is generally separable by chromatography. Hexamers bearing a specific lesion difficult isolate from mix products. Nevertheless, considerable interest because they may prove just long modified molecule enzymatically ligated onto longer sequence. The sequence then serve template studying mutational effect lesion. Before any these applications exercised, oligomers radiation-induced lesions must isolated identified.
