摘要: When we released the original version of this book, back in 2008, stated that concept a smart card was not particularly new, but practical use cards range diverse applications had never been more popular. Eight years on and statement is still valid, although have seen some trends towards certain types applications, indeed focus embedded smart/secure chips do rely form factor. Furthermore, introduction Near Field Communication (NFC), which permits mobile phones to emulate readers. This chapter provides first wide tokens, considering various types, capabilities, popular practicality their development deployment, covered detail within subsequent chapters.
