摘要: Acute inflammation is the body's response to infection or injury, characterised by rapid infiltration of polymorphonuclear neutrophils site injury followed monocytes, which differentiate locally into macrophages. The latter are essential for removal effete and provided that harmful agent eliminated, will lead resolution inflammation. Perturbations in this process result persistence close control pathways associated with necessary avoid chronic inflammation, autoimmunity, both. As our understanding these processes increase, drugs able trigger pro-resolution may represent an effective strategy treating inflammatory diseases.
