摘要: A 32 bp deletion in the CCR5 gene designated delta has been identified recently as cellular basis for resistance to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) some individuals which remained non-infected despite a repeated exposure this virus. The prevalence of was examined by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) on 51 HIV-1-infected and 385 from all parts Slovenia. 84.4% 83.2% were homozygous wild CCR5, 19.6% 16.3%, respectively, heterozygous. No mutant genotype observed among patients. Of individuals, 2 women (0.5%) found harbour 32/CCR5 only, is, best our knowledge, lowest particular Caucasians date.
