New oxazolidinone derivatives as antibacterial agents with improved activity

摘要: Background: Considerable efforts have been made in order to find new oxazolidinone-based antibacterial agents with improved biological profile. Objective: The purpose of this review is highlight application patents on that appeared from mid-2004 the end 2006. Methods: major actors field were private companies done an intense research activity, individuate most important features responsible for starting results previously obtained by Pharmacia & Upjohn. Results/conclusion: A huge number oxazolidinone derivatives are presently under study and a lot WO-PCT applications during last few years. Although these recent works show significant goals could be reached, data reported analyzed patent do not allow assure exactly near future one oxazolidinones reach market.
