摘要: Abstract In this paper, the maritime fleet renewal problem (MFRP) is extended to include regional limitations in form of emission control areas. The motivation for including aspect that strengthening regulations such areas expected be challenging deep sea shipping years come. proposed model, various means cope with these stricter are evaluated new vessels, and possibility upgrading existing vessels reduction technology introduced. We consider future fuel prices important problem, have chosen treat them as uncertain, thus, a stochastic programming model chosen. A faced by liner operator Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, concerning whether use low sulphur or an exhaust gas scrubber system installed comply regulation from 2015, used case study. Furthermore, tests show savings MFRP substantial.
