摘要: This paper presents a method of settlement mapping and typological classification in small islands. Selecting the Atlantic islands Sao Miguel, Madeira, Gran Canaria Tenerife as study areas, data acquisition was made through remotely sensed imagery. addresses islands’ lack large scale spatial data, since there are no land use/cover datasets covering all these at suitable for more detailed studies. Due to produced, differentiation is only possible morphological approach, therefore restricted typology proposed. In order apply proposed systematic representative analysis, concludes measuring relationship between types terrain attributes multinomial logit model. Overall, contributes better understanding pattern using that may be applied elsewhere.
